Under the hood
The engine behind the light
Faro is Ocio's AI-powered concierge: a live, learning recommendation system that turns thousands of London evenings into a ranked shortlist of three.
It builds a taste profile from your onboarding and behaviour — your areas, your vibes, your energy for the night — then retrieves from a catalogue of what's actually on sale across Greater London, refreshed daily, and scores every candidate against you to find the few worth your time. A reasoning layer composes the shortlist with one honest line per pick and, when it helps, a single clarifying question — never inventing an event, a time or a price, and saying so when it doesn't know. Every choice you make sharpens the next round.

A live map of London's evenings
Before Faro can choose, it has to see everything worth choosing. A scheduled import refreshes the catalogue every day, then bounds it to the city and the nights that are actually on sale.

How a night gets scored
Every event in tonight's pool is scored against you. Not one filter — a blend of signals, weighted, then narrowed to the few that genuinely fit.

Illustrative. The weighted score narrows thousands of options to a considered shortlist of about three — a ranked few, not an infinite feed.
Curate
From a shortlist to a reason you'll like it
The ranked few pass to Faro's reasoning layer — a language model, steered by your taste and Ocio's curation rules. It writes the one-line reason behind each pick, and asks a single good question only when it genuinely helps.

One good question
Want to keep it walkable, or venture east?
- Never invents an event, a time or a price to fill a gap
- Asks one good question, then gets out of your way
- Says so plainly when it doesn't know
- Uses your taste quietly — it personalises, it doesn't recite you back

It sharpens over you
Every shortlist is a question, and your response is the answer. What you open, linger on and book becomes signal — quietly tuning what Faro surfaces next, so each set lands a little closer.

The more nights you choose, the sharper Faro's eye becomes — a guide that knows the city, and increasingly, knows you.
