Question 1

How much does membership cost?

Accepted Answer

Three Individual plans: Explorer (£42/mo, 38 credits), Adventurer (£67/mo, 60 credits), Pioneer (£92/mo, 83 credits). Pick the one that matches how often you head out.

Question 2

When will I first be charged?

Accepted Answer

When you join, at the monthly price of the plan you choose.

Question 3

How do I cancel?

Accepted Answer

Any time, yourself, from the Stripe customer portal linked in your account: no emails, no phone calls.

Question 4

Does my membership renew automatically?

Accepted Answer

Yes — it's a monthly subscription that renews each month until you cancel. You stay in control: manage or cancel it yourself at any time through the Stripe customer portal.

Question 5

What are credits and how much do events cost?

Accepted Answer

Each plan gives you a monthly pot of credits — 38, 60 or 83, depending on your plan — that you spend on events. Different events cost different numbers of credits depending on their value, so a relaxed weeknight costs less than a marquee night out.

Question 6

Do unused credits roll over?

Accepted Answer

Each month your membership tops you up with credits to spend on the experiences you choose — roll over what you don't use, and book up to six tickets in one go. In practice that means you can carry up to one month's worth of credits into the next month — so an Adventurer on 60 credits a month can hold at most 120 at once.

Question 7

Can I book for friends as well as myself?

Accepted Answer

Yes — you can book up to 6 tickets in a single booking , so you can bring friends along on your credits. There's no separate group plan; every Individual membership can do this.

Question 8

How does Ocio decide what to show me?

Accepted Answer

When you join you tell us what you love — the categories, neighbourhoods and price range that suit you. From there Ocio curates a personal selection of after-work events, so you spend less time scrolling and more time out.

Question 9

What happens right after I sign up?

Accepted Answer

A short onboarding where you set your preferences. That's live today: curation, your profile and your credits are all working now. See how it works →

Question 10

Where does Ocio operate?

Accepted Answer

London only, for now. We cover 117 neighbourhoods — West End, Shoreditch, Hackney, Westminster and more — across 9 categories of after-work events.

Question 11

What kinds of events can I find?

Accepted Answer

9 categories in total: Food & Drink, Live Music, Comedy, Culture & Arts, Classes & Workshops, Wellness, Outdoor & Active, Theatre & Performance, Networking & Social.

Question 12

How does the £10 referral reward work?

Accepted Answer

Earn £10 for every friend who joins. Share your link; a reward worth £10 (9 credits) lands in your account when your friend joins: until 30 November 2026, once they sign up and confirm their email; from 1 December 2026, once their first paid membership starts. It's referrer-only — your friend just gets a great membership.

Question 13

When do I get my referral reward?

Accepted Answer

Until 30 November 2026, as soon as your friend confirms their email after signing up. From 1 December 2026, when your friend's first paid membership starts. One reward per friend who joins.

Question 14

Do you have promo codes?

Accepted Answer

Yes: £10 of credits when you start a membership. Enter an Ocio promo code, such as OCIOFIRST or a code from one of our event partners, in the app when you choose your membership. Once your first membership payment goes through, 9 credits (worth £10) are added to your account. One promo code per member, and it can't be combined with another code. See section 6.7 of our Membership Terms .

Question 15

Can I book events through Ocio right now?

Accepted Answer

Here's the honest picture. Live today: curation, sign-up & onboarding, membership & credits, and referrals. Coming in September: in-app booking — reserving your spot and paying with credits directly inside Ocio (we call it OcioSync). We'd rather be upfront than over-promise.

Question 16

What is OcioSync?

Accepted Answer

OcioSync is our in-app booking layer that connects you straight to venues — a September feature. Until then Ocio curates and plans your evenings, and full in-app booking follows.
